  • A hat or cap is highly recommended
  • Trousers are preferable. Dresses and skirts are not allowed.
  • Backpacks are not allowed on board the balloons, you can leave your personal belongings safely in our vehicles, they follow us from start to finish.
  • You may want to take a small bottle of water, especially for late day flights in the summer season.

It is your responsibility to inform us of any important medical information before the flight.

You cannot fly if you have a serious medical condition or have just had surgery.

The gondolas are not equipped with seats and require stepping over the edge when boarding.

Passengers should be in good physical condition and should inform us of any disabilities or significant medical information prior to the flight.

Passenger check-in

All passengers must have a flight ticket to board our hot-air balloons. This will be given to you at the reception.

Hot-air balloons fly at precise times to ensure the best possible conditions and the safety of our services: we cannot delay take-off, so please be punctual! If you are late, we will unfortunately not be able to take you on board for this wonderful experience, and your flight ticket will be cancelled.
Payment must be made at the reception desk, and the following methods of payment are accepted:

  • Credit card (except American Express)
  • Cheque (with proof of identity)
  • Cash (200 and 500 euro notes are not accepted)
  • ANCV cheque (up to 200 euros per booking, please check validity and write your name on each ticket)

If you already have a gift or flight ticket issued by one of our service providers, you will be asked for it at check-in. This is essential.

We will use this time to explain the process of the experiment and to give you the necessary safety information.

For safety reasons, accompanying persons are not allowed on the take-off sites, except in cases where this is necessary for the comfort of the passengers and has been approved by the pilot. They may observe the hot-air balloons from the Castelnaud reception point. We would like to draw your attention to the fact that our take-off sites are privately owned land and fields, and are graciously lent to us. Apart from the obvious safety reasons, we don't want to disturb the peace and access of the owners, and their neighbors, any more than necessary. Failure to comply with this instruction may hinder the operation of the hot-air balloons and lead to the cancellation of a flight if the pilot observes a threat to the safety of people and property.

Preparing for the flight

After check-in, you'll board one of our 4×4s for a transfer to the take-off site. Once you've arrived at the launch site, the pilot will ask you to pay close attention to the safety briefing, and you'll assist with the preparations: installation, inflation and weighing of the balloon. During these preparations, please respect the safety conditions laid down by the pilot during the briefing.

The take-off

Once the envelope has been filled with hot air, the balloon is ready for take-off. Passengers can now climb aboard, while the pilot performs a final checklist. After weighing the balloon, the pilot releases the release for a smooth ascent.

The Flight

Carried along by this gigantic bubble of warm air, you'll move with the wind and discover some of the many architectural and landscape treasures of our magnificent region.

Landing

After about an hour of flight, the pilot chooses a suitable field for a soft landing. The ground crew joins us and helps to pack up the balloon.

Toast of the balloonist

To celebrate the event, we invite all passengers to the balloonist's toast. During this special moment, we will share our experiences and emotions over a drink.

We will then take you back to the reception point in our vehicles.

Humility

Neither the passengers, nor even the pilot, decide... This is the law of nature.

If the weather is uncertain, the pilot may decide to delay the flight or even postpone it. Our priority is the safety of our passengers...

Such an emotional moment requires optimal conditions, so rest assured that we are doing everything possible to make this experience unforgettable.
